PorchLight Recovery understands the importance of work-life balance, and how quickly life’s stresses can open a door to a life of addiction.

PorchLight Recovery’s evidence-based coaching addiction program incorporates a three-phase approach in supporting clients in their extended recovery. Phase one begins with an introduction to new skills and behaviors to set the recovery foundation, while the second and third phases help reinforce and then master the skills acquired during the first phase. During their tenure, residents are empowered to take charge in their recovery plan which is supported by a series of life coaches, counselors and behavioral health professionals who are here to guide, assess and ensure residents are on a sustainable path to achieving a life of recovery.

Daily check-ins, individualized coaching sessions and weekly assessments provide residents guidance and feedback relevant to their psychological, physical and emotional well-being designed to accomplish each individual’s recovery goals.

Phase 1

Phase one begins with Porchlight Recovery life-coaches welcoming residents into the campus while developing a holistic, individualized recovery plan for residents to familiarize themselves with. A review of program expectations and materials, an introduction to technologies and linking residents to a program sponsor is all part of the program’s first phase. Throughout phase one, it is recommended residents limit external responsibilities in order to focus on their their recovery goals in order to build a strong foundation.

Phase 2

Phase two begins by reinforcing the techniques and behaviors residents were introduced to during the program’s first phase. While in this second phase, residents will begin to re-focus energies and develop a action plan to reimagine work-life goals while managing stress to re-emerge balanced, effective and normalized in their relationships and within the workplace. Residents are more fully engaged in managing external responsibilities while reviewing accountability goals to help manage stress while continuing their recovery journey within a structured environment.

Phase 3

The mastery phase is the third and final phase of PorchLight Recovery’s structured living porgram. Here in phase three, residents will begin to self-actualize and master skills that allow them to be their most authentic self. In mastering these positive techniques and behaviors, senior residents will take-on varying mentorship roles in inspiring our junior residents helping achieve recovery, while planning for their return into their communities, the workplace and their personal lives. As our senior residents transition into their new-found lives of recovery without structure, they will begin their journey knowing they are forever connected to PorchLight Recovery’s alumni community of workshops, meetings and events.
